La bande contient des chansons tunisiennes interprétées par le chanteur tunisien de confession juive connu sous le nom de "Cheikh Ifrit" (1897 - 1939), de son vrai nom Isran Israel Roseo. Il est connu pour sa maîtrise de la musique traditionnelle tunisienne avec ses spécificités mélodiques et rythmiques. A enregistré des dizaines de chansons qui lui sont propres. L'orchestre l'ayant accompagné comprend, entre autre, Masaoud (ou Msi'ed) Habib à l'harmonium et Albert Abitbol au violon.
